“Aspects” ….…… a work of art that is characterized by many shapes, colors and structures that, as always in Witzig’s works, offer no representation of reality. Instead, this image leaves a lot of room for visual impressions and unconsciously aims to challenge the viewer and change the usual way of seeing. The bright bright colors in some circles indicate an energetically high potential and stand strongly for passion in Witzig’s current life, which still stands for the processing of the death of the recently deceased soul kitten. The many different shades of blue in the background tame and mediate this extreme emotionality and give Witzig stability in this difficult phase and the opportunity to calm down despite the grief. “Aspects”, especially in its dimension, encourages the viewer to wander over the picture with his eyes in order to find patterns, shapes or structures that are associated with something familiar or meaningful. For example, Witzig himself saw a cat when he first looked at the picture, which is related to the current life situation. And yet, Witzig says that there is no obvious meaning or representation of a cat. The artwork was created purely intuitively and Witzig sees this cat in the picture because it is her current topic and probably because she wants to see the cat. Our own perspective, which interprets a picture of experiences, knowledge and emotions in different ways, directs the aspect to what we are willing to want and be able to see.
