“The power of the subconscious mind”
…a work of art that clearly reflects that Witzig’s intuitive painting is neither plannable nor rational, but follows her spontaneous impulses. All the resistance and resistance to things that she doesn’t really want to see and feel at all is useless. Forms emerge unhindered without censorship and conscious control. In the picture below right, triangles and lines are shown in blue hues, which seem almost threatening in their arrangement. The worldwide political unrest with all the current wars is causing Witzig a great inner unrest with a lot of fear and concern. Witzig, who is still busy finding her own peace with herself and her past, is increasingly confronted with the problems of the political and human outside world. Where Witzig actually uses her intuitive painting as a therapeutic tool to find the balance between her body, mind and soul, more and more external issues mix and lead to a diffuse fear of losing sight of herself. The fact that Witzig has found herself in a certain way and understands her existence in this world as an artist more and more is clearly shown by the air and soap bubbles as well as the airy, lightly depicted almost floating circles. This pure war in the bottom right of the picture is not the war that Witzig is waging with herself and that she does not feel in relation to herself. Witzig has since left this battlefield. This war shows exactly what is happening around them in this world, leaving fear with despair. What remains is a work of art that leaves no stone unturned to face and confront war with harmony, in the hope that good and beautiful will triumph.
